The messages have been sent on the Amazon live chat function - and have certainly brought shoppers a smile.

While you should expect customer service staff to be friendly, these messages get very friendly indeed.

From innocent compliments to extensive chats these shoppers certainly got more than they bargained for, but some people branded the replies 'creepy'.

has compiled several of the unprofessional exchanges.

Twitter user was the first to share her very familiar chat, with the employee even complimenting her name.

He later went on to tell Roxanne that the "bad news" was that after their chat they would have to "part ways."

Her tweet quickly went viral, receiving over 300,000 "likes" with several of her followers sharing similar experiences.

"I think it's because I had to email them something and my pic was attached to my email account."

She then shared a screenshot of their exchange where the employee described her as "breath-taking."

While some thought the messages were light-hearted, others thought they were inappropriate.

One person commented: "This would make me hella uncomfortable and he is breaching the terms of his employment. This is creepy as f* and I don’t know whether it’s a sackable offence but surely he will be reprimanded."

While someone else wrote: "Would these guys tell another guy he has a nice name? If the answer is no, it's inappropriate. Why do guys find this so complicated?"

A spokesperson for Amazon told Fabulous Digital: "“We do encourage our associates to engage with our customers.

"However, we do not tolerate language which may be offensive. We are looking into these incidences, and will take the appropriate actions once our investigation is complete.”
