Organic Coconut Sugar
Organic Coconut Sugar contains antioxidants, iron, calcium and potassium.
Sugar alternatives aren’t hugely lower in calories but their lower glycemic index numbers mean fewer blood- sugar spikes.
This has a real caramel flavour, 195kcals per 50g and is gorgeous on toast.
- Coconut sugar, £3.99 for 500g,
Cinnamon Agave Nectar
Cinnamon Agave Nectar is a syrup derived from the tequila plant. It’s three times sweeter than sugar – meaning you use less and so consume fewer calories.
Delicious drizzled over desserts or porridge with no additives or artificial flavours. It has a low glycemic index of 30 and 149kcals per 100g.
I’d recommend it.
- Cinnamon Agave Nectar, £2.50 for 250ml,
Manuka Honey
Manuka Honey comes from New Zealand and is known for its health benefits, including easing digestive problems and reducing inflammation.
I tried Rowse Manuka Honey 250+ MGO (the MGO indicates how many active components it contains) which is bursting with antioxidants, has a GI value of 45 and has 164kcals per 50g.

Budget – SportFX Power Lift Eyelash Curler
Promises to lift, lengthen and curl lashes, leaving a lasting result with or without mascara.
This was really easy to use thanks to the chunky grip and gave a great curl.
Did not pinch my eyelids like cheaper options I’ve tried in the past.
SportFX Power Lift Eyelash Curler, £3.50,
Mid-range – Morphe Mini Lash Curler
This takes a little getting used to as you curl lashes in smaller sections.
The advantage is that it ensures the very inner and outer lashes, which are usually missed, get just as much of a curl.
It is also amazing for seamlessly blending fake lashes to your real ones after they have been applied.
Morphe Mini Lash Curler, £8,
Luxury – Tweezerman ProCurl Lash Curler
Expertly designed with a 60-degree angle for round-shaped eyes.
The thick, rounded pads felt soft and didn’t pinch or pull my eyelids at all.
