A woman has shared one clever way to avoid paying for expensive refills of Flash Powermop Solution, and it couldn't be easier.
Posting in a Facebook group, Mandy Lawson decided to give other cleaning fanatics her money saving tip when it comes to having sparkling clean floors.
Posting a picture of the large blue bottle, she wrote alongside it: “Anyone use this flash refill bottle can be quite expensive , did you know if you place the end in boiling water for 15 second then you can unscrew the cap get a tea towel then twist if off and refill your own just tried it and it works."
Mandy went on to upload a video of the process and added: "I’ve not done this before, this is the first time.
"Because this solution can be quite expensive, like £5 so then I can put my own solution in which is gonna be a lot cheaper."
Fellow Facebook users were grateful for the top tip, and took to the comment sections.
"Omg thank you so much I’ve tried so many times to get cap off," one person wrote, while another said: "So glad I've seen this."
A third said: "I so needed to know this! Off to home bargains to buy a new one, I’ve just been spraying my method then using it as a mop could have a saved the money on a normal one!"
However, another user claimed that you could buy refills for a decent price at one particular shop.
"I’m not sure if everyone knows but you can get the refill bottles in home bargains for £3! It’s lasted me about 2 months if not longer," they advised.
