Thrifty woman shows how to fix wallpaper bubbles using a HAIRDRYER
PUTTING up wallpaper is a fine art, and it can easily go wrong if you don’t match up the pattern correctly or you get air trapped under the paper.
If you’re redecorating and thought you’d ruined a wall after ending up with numerous air pockets, one DIY fan has shared their handy tip for rescuing paper full of bubbles.
Rather than rip off strips and start again, all you need is a hair dryer, a syringe and some wallpaper paste to smooth it out.
Sharing her tip to Facebook group , the wallpaper guru said: “Totally messed up a slice of wallpaper a couple of months ago. It was a bubbly mess.
“I was ready to rip it all off (I had none left and binned all the info with the batch code).
“However, I seen a tip on here and it's saved the day.
“Someone said to use a syringe of wallpaper paste to inject into the bubbles.
“I done that, flattened it down and ironed out the wrinkles with a hairdryer.
“Thank you whoever you were!”
Her post has been liked more than 1,500 times, and fellow DIY fans thanked her for sharing the tip.
Commenting online, one person said: “What a difference!!”
Another wrote: “Thank you for sharing!!”
A third commented: “Great tip it looks lovely now.”
Someone else thought: “Wish I'd have known this ,I left the backing paper on and papered over it left so many bubbles I ripped it all off couldn't get the same paper again.”
While this person added: “No way, it really worked. Thanks for sharing.”
