Woman creates incredible plant holder out of an old pair of JEANS – and people think it’s brilliant

A WOMAN has created a brilliantly unique plant pot in her garden - using an old pair of jeans.

Jess Appleby revealed she practically lived in her high-waisted denim over lockdown, causing them to become so worn they were 'falling part'.

But she couldn’t bear to part with the trousers, so came up with an inventive way to repurpose them - by turning them into a plant pot.

Jess decided to attach them to her garden fence, popping the ends in some wellies and filling each leg with soil, before planting a lavender bush inside.

She told Fabulous Digital: “They were my favourites through lockdown and were falling to bits. Was always ending up wearing them but couldn't throw them away.”

Jess shared snaps of her inventive planter to Facebook group , where her post has racked up more than 7,000 likes.

She wrote: “The lock down jeans served me well. Couldn't part with them.

“I used some rubber seals I had laying around for the bottom of the jeans and filled with a mixture of compost and stones.

“Just threw in the not so happy left over lavender in the top with no pots. Just nailed the waist band to the fence.

“These were a stretchy jean.”

People have joked the jeans have a better rear end than they do, while others admitted they’d need a bit more soil to fill their lockdown jeans.

Commenting online, one woman said: “Imagine forgetting that's there and walking out when it's dark.”

Someone else admitted: “I’d need a stronger fence for my lockdown jeans.”

A third wrote: “That’s brilliant. What a great idea.”

This person said: “Couldn't do it with my jeans, I'd need a ton bag of soil and a small forest to fill them.”

This woman asked: “Anyone else got major bum envy.”

While another added: “Great now even a plant has a nicer arse than me…”
