PRINCESS Beatrice looked just like her mum on her wedding day as she tied the knot with Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in a secret royal wedding.

Princess Beatrice married Edoardo, 37, at the Royal Chapel of All Saints, at the Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park, with around 20 guests including the Queen and Prince Philip, 99.

Princess Beatrice wore a vintage frock which belonged to the Queen, 94, and she lent her a tiara to wear, as is customary for royal brides.

Beatrice didn't just borrow any tiara, as she wore the exact one the Queen wore for her own wedding in 1947.

The new Mrs Mozzi channelled her mum, Sarah Ferguson, 60, on her wedding day with her style choices - not to mention their flaming locks.

Sarah, Duchess of York, married Prince Andrew, 60, in July 1986, at Westminster Abbey.

The mum-of-two opted for an ivory-silk gown designed by Lindka Cierach, which featured a whopping 17-foot train with a 20-foot long vei.

Sarah finished off the outfit with a floral crown and a diamond tiara, lent to her by the Queen.

Both royal brides had similar silhouettes, with puffy sleeves and their fiery hair worn loose around their shoulders.

While Princess Beatrice also opted for a veil, it wasn’t quite as long as the one Sarah wore.

The dress Princess Beatrice wore was a vintage frock her great-grandmother wore to a State Dinner she hosted at the British Embassy in Rome on 4th May 1961.

The exquisite gown later appeared in an exhibition at Buckingham Palace for the summer opening of the State Rooms.

In contrast, her sister Princess Eugenie opted for an off-the-shoulder number, designed by Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vo.

The dress featured a neckline that folded around the shoulders to a low back, which draped into a flowing full-length train.

The low back feature on the dress was at the specific request of Eugenie, who had surgery aged 12 to correct scoliosis.

Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, are believed to have been among the small guestlist, along with Prince Andrew who walked princess Beatrice down the aisle.

A friend of Beatrice and Edoardo said the nuptials were arranged today to make sure the Queen could attend before she leaves Windsor for Balmoral at the end of the month.

The wedding had initially been scheduled for the Chapel Royal of St James's Palace at the end of May, was cancelled due to coronavirus.

The Palace said in a statement: "The private wedding ceremony of Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi took place at 11am on Friday 17th July at The Royal Chapel of All Saints at Royal Lodge, Windsor.

"The small ceremony was attended by The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh and close family.

"The wedding took place in accordance with all relevant Government guidelines."

Beatrice has become the first princess to become a step-mum, with 37-year-old Edoardo sharing his four-year-old son Christopher 'Wolfie' Woolf with his stylish former fiancée Dara Huang.
