A MUM has revealed the unlikely product she used to clean permanent marker off her carpet - vodka.
Sarah Prangle revealed her daughter got hold of some black pens, and wreaked havoc all over her floor.
She shared snaps of her beige carpet, which now featured a design of black stripes.
Sarah took to Facebook group to ask fellow cleaning fans what would shift the black marks.
Sharing a snap of her daughter at the scene of the crime, she said: “A long shot but anyone know how I can try and get permanent marker off the carpet?”
Dozens of people commented on the post, suggesting everything from nail varnish remover to toothpaste.
One person suggested: “Try deodorant but colour test first.”
This person said: “Hair spray or wd40.”
A third wrote: “Toothpaste make sure it's a white one and add a bit of bicarbonate of soda as well if you have it.”
While this person recommended: “Dab nail varnish remover on the remaining marks, I’ve used it before to remove permanent marker, it definitely works.”
Despite their numerous suggestions, Sarah went with something else instead - vodka.
Sarah added: “Thanks guys I went with vodka and it's done a good job.”
She uploaded a snap of carpet, which now looked as good as new.
