A DIY fan has shared her nifty tip to strip wallpaper in minutes and all you need is an 85p cleaner from Lidl.
She shared a clip to Facebook group , showing her bedroom walls covered with lining paper, and then wallpaper, which she’d been battling to remove.
After struggling to shift it, her mum told her to pick up some W5 all purpose cleaner from Lidl, which costs just 85p, and spray the walls down.
She filmed herself dousing the walls with the cleaner, and after waiting ‘literally seconds’ she uses the scraper on it, and the paper comes off with ease.
The Mrs Hinch fan managed to strip an entire wall in 10 minutes, and had the whole bedroom done in an hour.
She shared her mum’s advice for anyone else struggling to redecorate, saying: “Had to share my Mothers wallpaper stripping tip, for anyone that hates stripping wallpaper (everyone).
“I just did my whole bedroom in an hour!!”
Revealing exactly how easy it is, she says the video: “That’s as much of the wallpaper I could strip off, so it’s painted on the bottom and papered on the top.
“I’ve just managed to get the vinyl off the top so the backing paper is still on there. And that’s as much as I could do.
“Mam gave me a bottle of W5 that you get in Aldi for like, £1.50, all purpose cleaner. Into a spray bottle and spray it all over the wall.

“Literally just sprayed it on, and the paste dissolved behind the paper, and the paper came straight off. This stuff is amazing.

Hundreds of people have commented on the tip, calling it a ‘game changer’.
One person wrote: “Wow, that’s quicker than a wallpaper stripper.”

A third commented: “ Very satisfying! Thank you for sharing your tip.”
