A MUM transformed her staircase into an incredible wallpaper mural after her daughter split paint all over the carpet.

Lisa Barnett revealed her 11-year-old had tipped a tin of white paint all over the carpet, and the floor was ruined beyond repair.

So Lisa Barnett decided to lift it up and start from scratch, but she wasn’t sad to see it go, telling Fabulous: “It was bloody gloss paint too and a horrid carpet.”

After ripping up the stained flooring, she spruced up the stairs by giving them a quick sand and a lick of paint, and ordered some incredible mural stickers from Wish.

Lisa went for a magical waterfall scene, which costs £21, and comes in sections so you can stick it straight on.

Chuffed with her results, Lisa shared the makeover to Facebook group , where it’s racked up more than 1,000 likes.

She said: “After my 11 year old accidentally spilled paint on my stairs carpet I was forced to make a change.

“Thankfully the carpet was old and I hated it anyway.

“So I filled, sanded and painted them and waited for the decals from Wish.

A third commented: “Looks gorgeous well done.”

This person thought: “Absolutely love this... Having the same debate on whether to haul up my stair carpet and sand.

"Scared what I'll find underneath though.”

And this mum turned her ‘awful’ wooden panelling into a family photo wall – but some blast it for looking ‘common’.
