Emily Atack reveals one-stone lockdown weight loss – but insists it was ‘an accident’
TV star and stand up comedian Emily Atack has revealed she “feels much healthier” after "accidentally" losing a stone during the coronavirus lockdown.
The 30-year-old said she “can’t wait to get back to the pub” and claimed she has been conscious of the amount she has been drinking during the pandemic.
The I’m A Celebrity favourite had previously hit back at cruel online trolls who claimed she would gain weight during lockdown.
Emily has been active on social media during the pandemic and often shares photos and videos of the meals she cooks for herself.
She previously revealed that it was because of clean eating that she had shed the pounds.
Speaking to the she said: "I think because I haven't been able to the pubs I'm healthier. I've been working out a lot in my garden, which I'm very lucky to have.
“'I've lost a lot of weight by accident really. 'It wasn't my goal to lose weight but I think it's down to not going to pubs and restaurants.
“I work out more so for my mental health, the goal is never to lose weight but to remain as happy and healthy as I can be.”
Pubs are set to reopen on July 4 and Emily, who is now a published author with her book “Are we there yet?” said she likes to have the odd tipple.
She said she has “definitely been boozing in lockdown” like everyone else but highlighted that she has been conscious with the amount she has been drinking.
Emily added that she “can’t wait” to go back to the pubs once they reopen and said that it’s a “happy place” for so many people.
She claimed that it was somewhere people shared their “deepest and darkest” secrets and joked that she would be doing the Conga once they reopen.
Last year, the actress revealed she was the happiest she's ever been at 11st and had learnt to embrace her curves.
She told Closer: "I've realised that I'm probably the biggest I've ever been. I weigh 11st.
"I've never weighed 11st, but I'm doing everything I've always wanted to do.
"My life is the best it's ever been, and I get more compliments now than I ever have before.
"I look back at photographs of when I was slimmer, looking a bit gaunt, and I was definitely unhappier."
Emily added that though she receives mean comments about her weight online, she doesn't let them get her down.
The actress, who found fame as Charlotte Hinchcliffe in The Inbetweeners, credited her time in the famous ITV jungle for her new attitude.

She explained: "I'm way more accepting of my body now."
However, lockdown hasn't all been good for Emily, who previously revealed she was suffering from "crushing anxiety" while isolating by herself.

The comedy star admitted that being alone has always been her “number one fear” but it has become a reality during lockdown.
