Woman cleans up mouldy 15 year old blinds she was about to bin with 99p spray – and they look as good as new
A WOMAN has revived the mouldy blinds she was about to bin using a 99p cleaning spray - and they look as good as new.
Posting on Facebook's , she explained the blinds had been in her conservatory for 15 years.
As well as using the room for storage, the blinds had sustained "a small leak" - explaining their weathered look.
She then showed off the amazing before and after shots, from using Astonish's Mould & Mildew Blaster - which you can buy in B&M, Home Bargains, Poundland or The Range.
The woman said: "Had my blinds in my conservatory over 15yrs. Had used it as a storage area & also had a small leak.
"They were destined for the bin. Used spray in the pic 99p, didn't need to take them down or scrub or wipe them down.
"Didn't think it would work & they would be ruined. Chuffed to bits,glad I took the risk.
"I just sprayed them while they were still up. I left them to dry over night... no wiping or scrubbing. Got to purchase more as now run out."
The post racked up 1,900 likes and 700 comments in just a couple of days.
Commenting on the pics, people gushed: "Wow. Thats great" and "I love this stuff but that is amazing!"
Others said: "Thank you for sharing, I never thought of this. My blinds are the same due to rain getting in at one point. Fab will give this a go".
Some cleaning fans said the spray was a saviour for cleaning up bathroom mould.
