Mum turns rundown shed into a playhouse for her daughter using a lick of paint & accessories from The Range

A CRAFTY mum turned their rundown shed into an incredible playhouse for her daughter using a lick of paint and some bargain accessories.

The DIY-savvy mum shared a snap of their grey, windowless shed at the bottom of the garden which had seen better days.

Rather than fork out for a new Wendy house, the mum rolled up her sleeves and transformed their existing shed - and it now looks magical.

She shared her transformation to Facebook group , where she said: “Converted our old shed into a playhouse for my daughter.”

The mum slapped a few coats of Johnson’s garden paint, in Vintage Rose, which costs £15 from B&M, on the inside and outside.

She even created windows in the shed, explaining: “I bought 2 photo frames, took out the glass and replaced with perspex.

“I cut out the frame on shed with jigsaw just a little bit smaller than photo frame and screwed in place with an electric drill.”

She decorated the inside with bunting she made from spare wood, and added four voiles which she got from The Range for £1.99 each.

The mum added her daughter’s favourite toys, spruced up the outside with a letter box and door number - and people can’t believe the difference.

Her transformation has racked up more than 1,500 likes, as people praised her DIY skills.

Commenting online, one person said: “Absolutely brilliant how talented are you.”

Another wrote: “One very lucky little girl.”

A third commented: “Beautiful and with love done this job your girl I think so so happy.”

While this person wrote: “That's an awesome idea looks great.”

And someone else added: "How beautiful is this I love it."
