DIY fanatic shares simple trick so she doesn’t have to clean paint brushes and people think it’s genius
AS much as we love doing the odd bit of painting around the house, the worst part of any home improvement project is cleaning our brushes afterwards.
It's messy. It's tedious. And the worst part is, they're only going to messy again almost immediately. At least, that's what we always thought.
That's right, one savvy DIY fan may have saved us a LOT of trouble with her quick and easy paintbrush hack.
Posting on the Facebook group , the woman explained how she stores her wet paintbrushes in a plastic sandwich bag when she's in the middle of a project.
But it can't be any sandwich bag - but one with a seal that will prevent the paint from drying out and ruining the brush.
She explained: "We all hate having to clean paint brushes every evening (Right?) only to then need them again in the morning? The day after?
To save this horrible job keep them in a sandwich bag until you need them again as the paint doesn't dry. When all finished, they can be cleaned. Ready for your next DIY job!

Unsurprisingly, we weren't the only ones impressed with her quick trick and others also suggested cling film as an alternative.
"I wrap mine in cling film. Less mess by far," one wrote. "A professional decorator gave me that tip years ago!"
Another added: "Always do this and use a large bag so I can put the roller and tray in it."
"My pet hate.....Cleaning up after painting! Thanks for the tip," a third said.
