BRITAIN’s biggest family the Radfords have showcased their amazing garden transformation, designed to keep their brood clean while playing out.

Parents Sue and Noel Radford swapped their grass for a fake turf to keep their kids from getting muddy while in the garden.

Taking to the family channel, Noel said: “We’ve got a bit of a project on the go.

“We’re changing this from real grass to fake grass just to make it a lot cleaner for the kids.”

Noel began with 20 tonnes of hardcore to help level out the garden, which was uneven in certain areas.

He was helped out by Sue, who has recently given birth to their 22nd child, and their older son Daniel, 20, as well as a few “little helpers.”

“My God they’ve made it hard work” Noel joked, after the little ones left bits of gravel all over the garden furniture.

Sue added: “Oh my gosh the bath is going to be filthy tonight.”

By 8:45pm that evening Noel had managed to get the garden levelled.

He said: “I started about 2 o’clock, I’ve had three of the boys and myself, and Sue shovelling this stuff around and wheelbarrowing that around.”

Three days into the project the Radfords were finally able to lay down the turf, and Noel finished his decking cladding on the walls.

But while Noel was happy with the end result, Sue still has big plans.

She said: “We want to get a projector for the kids so that they can have movie night, with some big bean bags.”

The family are also hoping to get hold of a patio heater, while Noel has his eye on a pizza oven.

But above all the couple were delighted with the fact that their kids were cleaner than ever.

Noel added: “The kids are all playing out today and none of them are mucky or anything they’re all clean.”

The Radfords are Britain's biggest family, with Noel and Sue parents to Chris, 30, Sophie, 26, Chloe, 24, Jack, 22, Daniel, 20, Luke, 19, Millie, 18, Katie, 17, James, 16, Ellie, 14, Aimee, 13, Josh, 12, Max, 11, Tillie, nine, Oscar, eight, Casper, seven, Hallie, four, Phoebe, three, Archie, two, Bonnie, one and Heidie, who was born in April.
