Woman left red faced over thinking her builder was bringing a DOG with him – after mistaking ‘labourer’ for ‘labrador’

A WOMAN was left red-faced after thinking her builder was bringing a dog with him - after she misread a text.

She admitted she ‘needed to go to Specsavers’ after mistaking the word ‘labourer’ for ‘labrador’. 

The woman managed to see the funny side and shared the conversation to Facebook group , where the hilarious exchange has racked up more than 4,000 likes. 

Posting the screengrab, she said: “So this is a conversation I had with a joiner this week. 

“I have to add, the work was outside, but I still went out whilst it was done.”

The texts between her and the builder start off fairly normally, with the woman asking what time he will be over, to which he replies around 7.30 or 8am. 

He replies: “Cool see you tomorrow I will have a labourer with me is that ok.”

But she mistakenly thinks he’s bringing a dog - so responds with info about her cats. 

She says: “Yes that’s fine. I’ve got 2 cats, but they will probably do one when they see your dog - which is fine. Thanks.”

Immediately clocking what's happened, the bloke responds: “Ha ha ha not a labrador a labourer an apprentice someone that helps me.”

After realising her mistake, the woman added: “I should go to Specsavers.” 

The comedic exchange has reduced people to tears, as hundreds commented on the conversation online. 

One person said: “I can't breathe. I read exactly the same.”

Another wrote: “Literally not stopped laughing at this.” 

A third commented: “Actually crying at this lol love it!!”

Someone else thought:  “Oh my - funniest thing I’ve seen today. Laughing out loud.”

While this person added: “Literally made my day.”
