Stacey Solomon reuses old bottles to make chic candle holders with fake plants inside
STACEY Solomon is fast becoming the queen of home hacks, and her latest creation is to make a DIY candle holder filled with plants.
The Loose Women star, 30, shared how she was spending lockdown peeling the labels off old bottles for her home project.
The Essex-based star shared a video on her Instagram Stories of her washing the bottles and scrubbing off left over glue.
She wrote: “Then shoved some stones & fake leaves in. Harder than it looks.”
Stacey then added water to the bottles, and for the finishing touch, squeezed her taper candles in the top after chopping them to be different sizes.
The end result showed the homemade candle holders looking like they could be straight out of a spa.
The mum-of-three has gone viral for sharing her quirky tidying hacks on Instagram, and many can be achieved in lockdown with items already lying around the house.
From upcycling old cans to make stationary pots, to overhauling her cupboards to make them look pristine, no corner of Stacey’s home goes unturned.
The Essex-based TV personality helpfully shares pictures and videos of her DIY bargain projects, so fans can copy if they are on a budget.
Previous tips include putting a cake stand on top of a lazy Susan in your cupboards to display your cans.
And one of her latest DIY projects saw her create savvy garden shelves using old crates, all while baby Rex was enjoying a splash in the pool.
Stacey lives with boyfriend Joe Swash, and her three sons, Zachary, 12, Leighton, seven, and baby Rex.
Stacey previously yelped in horror as Joe Swash picks her up and attempts his old Dancing On Ice moves on her.
