Mum turns a shabby Wendy house into an amazing outdoor café for her kids for just £14

AS PEOPLE are gearing up for the summer season ahead, families are eager to make the most of their outdoor areas and have shown off some very impressive home improvements.

And with the sunny weather making lockdown bearable, some parents are using the time to spruce up old shabby Wendy houses for their kids - with some pretty amazing results.

But rather than slapping on a coat of paint and calling it a day, one mum has transformed her kids' drab timber play house into an outdoor cafe area - complete with floral arrangements, a seating area and even a walk up window to process orders.

The mum described the old Wendy house as a "toy dumping ground," which was packed full of unused toys and outdoor games.

So rather than it sitting in her yard unsused, she decided to make use of it but creating the clever outdoor space.

Painted in soft shades of grey and pink, the newly opened cafe is sure to be the next Instagram hot spot once lockdown lifts with it's chic exterior and trendy vibe.

The DIY fan posted before and after snaps on Facebook revealing how she'd gone about the impressive transformation.

In the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK she explained that she'd cut a hole in the side of the play house to make the cafe area, and used a piece of the cut wood create a shelf and the window boxes.

The flowers that framed the stunning exterior cost her a total of £11 on eBay, but aside from that, the transformation was completely free.

The mum revealed she'd used paint she already had to paint the timber, and used left over silver spray paint - which originally cost her £3 -  to spruce up the garden chairs.

The makeover attracted a huge response with over 4k reactions  - with many interested in the colours she'd used.

The mum later revealed in the comments that she used Pebble Trail by Cuprinol Garden Shades and that the soft pink hue was a shade called Dusky blush by   - which has been a popular colour choice of late for people who've been painting their front doors pink.

One person describe the finish cafe as "absolutely stunning", while many others called it "amazing" and "beautiful".

Another person said: "This is gorgeous. I have this for my little girl and given me so much inspiration to upcycle it."

Meanwhile, one woman was so impressed she said "she could cry".

"It's so gorgeous I could cry!" she said, "Beautiful. Love the little shelf (inspired) and the flowers. What a makeover."

The clever mum also made sure it could be used at night too, by adding a gorgeous display of fairy lights that wrapped their way around the edges of the roof.

This amazing Wendy house make over comes after another mum makes her daughter’s drab Wendy house look brand new using eBay and IKEA bargains.
