STACEY Solomon has been showing off her crafting prowess over Instagram during lockdown, and her latest project might just be her most genius yet.
The celeb mum-of-three has revealed how she repurposed junk, transforming it into nifty pencil cases for her kids.
Taking to her Instagram story, the Loose Women star gave a demonstration of how to make a pencil case out of an empty ketchup bottle.
Captioning her video she wrote: “So we are going to make our own pencil cases out of rubbish, zips and glue…
“I went with ketchup and I stand by it!”
She begins by cutting the bottle so it is divided into ⅔ an ⅓ and then using a glue gun, she applies a layer of glue to one side of the zip.
She then wraps the glued side around the inside of the larger part of the bottle, squeezing to secure it in place.
She then unzips the other side of the zip, applying a layer of glue with the glue gun one more and attaching to the lower half of the bottle before fastening the zip shut.
Stacey added: “Aaawww they were so quick and easy… just cut where you want the opening, glue the zip on both sides and fill.”
Meanwhile Leighton made his case out of a Fanta Fruit Twist bottle while Zach chose a Robinsons squash bottle.
“I love them, our junk pencil cases,” Stacey finished.
