From filthy trainers to mouldy patios: Everything you can get spotless with Mrs Hinch’s favourite £2 paste

THERE are few cleaning products that can get everything from lino floors and jewellery to patios, washing machine drawers and ovens sparkling.

But, fortunately, one such magical item does exist - The Pink Stuff Miracle Cleaning Paste which can be bought for a very affordable £1.

It has gained cult status thanks to the endorsement of Mrs Hinch, who regularly uses it in her cleaning arsenal, next to Minky cloths, Zoflora spray and the SonicScrubber.

The paste is described by manufacturer Star Brands as "gentle on surfaces but tough on stains".

Saucepans, barbecues, ceramic tiles, glass, rust, sinks, garden furniture, paintwork and copper are just some of the varied assortment of household items and surfaces it can be used on.

Trainers

A woman revealed that instead of chucking her filthy old Converse in the bin, she managed to revive them to look brand new using a £1 paste. 

Savvy Samantha Stanley shared before and after photos of the shoes - and it’s hard to believe they are the same pair after her incredible transformation. 

Samantha explained: “Soaked the trainers, Scrubbed the pink stuff in with a toothbrush, left, for a couple of minutes, rinsed off as I didn't want pink stuff in my washer and just put it on a normal wash at 30 degrees with detergent and softener."

Lino flooring

It can get a dirty floor looking shiny - as one cleaning fan discovered.

The woman called Chloe told Fabulous that it had been able to transform the floor in her hallway, which is at least 15 years old and "grainy" from where dogs had trodden dirt all over it.

She said: "It took me about an hour to clean, I just used a blue dish cloth and scooped the paste onto the floor and rubbed it in circular motions.

"Then rinsed the cloth where I needed to and continued."

Patio grout

Similarly, a woman spruced up her patio and cleaned the grubby paving slabs using the handy product.

Captioning before and after snaps on Facebook, she wrote: “I don't have a jet wash so used cleaner and brush and scrubbed. Not bad for a morning's work."

Oven door

Has your oven door built up quite a coating of food detritus in lockdown? This special paste will magic it away too.

A mum shared on Facebook how she had used it to resurrect the inner glass surface, and revealed impressive before and after pictures.

She wrote: "Have put this job off for long enough but since I’m forced to self-isolate might as well make it a productive time.”

Silver jewellery

A woman has likewise used the product to restore her tarnished silver jewellery back to its former glory.

Damp problems in her flat had seen her Pandora bracelets discolour - and nothing seemed to be successfully cleaning them up.

 On Facebook, she wrote: "So after looking for so long to get a decent jewellery cleaner for my Pandoras I never thought of The Pink Stuff and I use it everywhere!!"

She continued: “I just used Pink Stuff in the pot, a microfibre cloth (not sure if it makes any difference) and water to rinse. So happy right now I can finally wear it again.”

Frying pans

A mum used the paste to get the burnt bottom of her frying pan shiny once more.

She revealed that - along with a bit of elbow grease - she was able to achieve the transformation in minutes.

Washing machine drawer

A Mrs Hinch fan revealed on Facebook that she was inspired by the Instagram star to sort out her filthy washing machine drawer - so bad many social media users said they would have taken it to the tip.

She applied the paste to the black mould, before also using Dr Beckmann's £3 washing machine cleaner to remove remaining limescale.

Dressing table

There's nothing more irritating than finding sticky stains around the area where you do your hair and make-up each morning.

However, Mrs Hinch was able to use her favourite pink product to remove a pesky mark caused by hairspray.

In a post on Instagram, she explained: “The mark is so tough and is from some seriously strong hairspray and nothing has managed to get it off yet so…the Pink Stuff will do it.”

Hob

A pro cleaner enlisted the product to transform a messy hob back to optimum cleanliness.

In a Facebook post, she explained: "Life right now is about quick and easy cleaning solutions.

“So for a deep oven clean I use... Stardrops The Pink Stuff. It’s great on oven doors and on top of the hob!

“Here is a picture of an oven which was deep cleaned for a client last week.”

Crockery

What's more, a woman has raved about the paste for sorting out scratched surfaces on her old bowls and plates.
