Mum reveals the incredible games room she created for her son for just £16

ARE your little ones obsessed with all things Fornite, Minecraft and Pokemon related? If you answered yes, then you might just want to take a leaf out of Hollie Clarke's book.

The creative mum-of-two, from Suffolk, has created the play room of her sons' dreams by covering the walls in artwork inspired by their favourite games.

Speaking to Hollie - who shares her artistic creations on - explained how her sons have been asking her to paint something "epic" on the walls of the play room.

And while she'd always been busy before, the coronavirus lockdown was the perfect opportunity to finally create the games room mural.

She said: "I started off just asking Taylor what characters he wanted, then I designed it on my computer."

Although Hollie was worried the characters she used in the wall art would fall out of fashion, she added: ""I just decided to just do all of his favourite characters in a comic strip-style design so it will last a while and he won't outgrow it so quickly!"

Before embarking on the project, Hollie picked up masking tape - which would act as the comic strip borders - and tester paint pots for £16 in The Range.

She added: "I took some images off Google, then once I was happy with the design, I used masking tape for the edges, sketched it out first, then started painting."

And if you're not great at drawing (guilty as charged), Hollie has another DIY trick up her sleeve.

She added: "Projectors on ebay and Amazon are pretty cheap and you can connect to a computer to put the design on the wall first, then use it to draw over it, that way the outline is in perspective and you don't need to be good at drawing."

Needless to say, the boys are delighted with their mum's efforts are are desperate to show it off to their friends when the lockdown lifts.

The mum added: "My son was watching most of the time whilst I was doing it and he kept asking 'Are you going to finish that bit? What are you going to paint next?’

"He was super excited when it was finished to be fair - although it's a bit sad that we can't invite any of his mates round to see it just yet! I have a four-year-old too and he loves it just as much!"
