The most searched for baby names of 2020 so far – including Luna, Leo and Levi
THE baby names proving most popular in 2020 are pretty different to what you might expect - they include Luna, Maeve and Milo.
, a site dedicated to helping parents pick the perfect moniker for their little one, has looked through it's most-searched for names to come up with list.

For girls the name Luna comes out on top, likely because it's what John Legend and Chrissy Teigen called their little girl.
It's followed by Aurora and Maeve, proving that names can make a comeback as both were popular years ago.
Next is Olivia - a consistently top choice - and rounding out the top five is Ava, another which has dominated lists over the years.
Charlotte, perhaps popular after William and Kate chose it for their daughter also makes the top ten as does Ophelia, Eloise and Eleanor.

Cora, which was ranked seventh last year, didn't make the top ten, with Nameberry experts hinting that could be because of global events.
“Cora, which we might have predicted would go all the way to the top of the list, may have been knocked out of contention by its similarity to corona,” it said.
For boys, the most popular name is Asher, followed by Milo.
In third place is Oliver, another traditional choice, with Levi and Silas making up the top five.

Though it seems the name Archie has seen its popularity fade, falling from first place last year to not even making the top ten this year so far.
Nameberry said: “Archie has fallen off the Top 10, though it probably ranked that high artificially, thanks to the royal baby.
“The other boys’ name that’s slipped is Jack.”
As Namberry calculates the top ten lists based on which names attracted the most views on their website, these are global name trends.
