Mortified beauty fan ends up with massive Adidas branding on her leg after major fake tan fail

A BEAUTY fan has been left looking like she's 'officially sponsored by Adidas' after a fake tan blunder gave her the sports giant lettering plastered up her leg.

Georgia-Mae Reynolds claims she has been forced to hide her legs under trousers and long skirts after being 'branded' with the huge Adidas outline - from her ankle all the way up to her lower thigh.

The finance assistant said the lettering on her branded leggings had rubbed against her skin and removed the tan on her newly-bronzed left leg while exercising.

The 22-year-old spent hours scrubbing her leg using baby wipes and make-up wipes and even soaked her leg in baby oil for an hour in a bid to get shut of the white outline - to no avail.

Georgia-Mae, from Gissing, Norfolk, said: "I remember looking down and thinking 'what the hell?'

"I was officially sponsored by Adidas. I scrubbed my leg to within an inch of its life and there was still a faint outline left.

"I tried everything - baby wipes, make-up wipes - anything I could think of - and even soaked it twice in baby oil as I'd read that might help wash it off.

"It was that slippery from all the baby oil I fell over in the shower and it still didn't take it off, I had to keep scrubbing my leg."

Georgia-Mae had fake tanned using Skinny Tan on the Thursday evening, showered the following morning and worked out on Friday evening - believing she'd given the medium shade enough time to dry.

Zumba fan Georgia-Mae pulled on a pair of £23 'essentials linear leggings' with white Adidas lettering up the side to attend the high-intensity class.

It was only as she stepped out of the shower after the hour-long workout that Georgia-Mae realised the fake tan blunder when her mum Trina Reynolds, 47, asked what was on her leg.

Georgia-Mae said: "Zumba can be really intense but it's good fun and a great form of exercise.

"I wore my black leggings with the white 'Adidas' written up the side.

"I normally would do a fake tan, do zumba and it would be fine.

"Obviously this one pair of leggings rubbed the tan off where the branding was.

"I didn't even notice at first, it was only when I came out of shower in a towel, my mum said 'what have you got up your leg?'.

"I had a look and saw I had 'Adidas' plastered up the side of my leg.

"I tried to rub it but it wouldn't come off and soon realised it was the fake tan that had rubbed off.

"It took so long to come off - I just had to keep showering and wait for it to wear off."

Fake tan fan Georgia-Mae said that despite experiencing this fake tan disaster, she still uses Skinny Tan as she rates the quality of the product and its results.

Georgia-Mae said: "I'm really pale normally and I've got black hair so i think having a bit of a tan makes me feel a bit healthier and more confident.

"I like Skinny Tan, I like the colour and it doesn't go patchy - unless you put leggings on it.

"I'm a lot more careful what I wear now when I've done it.

"It's definitely been a case of lesson learned - don't do fake tan and then wear branded leggings."

A Skinny Tan spokeswoman said: "Oh no! We rarely get tan disasters with Skinny Tan but this is a doozy!

"Thanks to Georgia-Mae for choosing Skinny Tan - if you wear loose clothing while it develops next time we promise a nice even flawless result without any surprises."

In other beauty fails, this woman was also a victim of a fake tan branding from her leggings.
