Mum-of-six transforms staircase using £3 glitter wallpaper from eBay while the kids are in bed

MANY people are using lockdown as an opportunity to add a bit of sparkle to their home.

One mum has managed to, quite literally, add some shine to her ordinary staircase - with the help of a roll of £3 glitter wallpaper from eBay.

In a post on group 'Organise My UK Home', the woman called Diana shared how she had undertaken the DIY project while her six children slept.

Captioning a picture of the transformation, she wrote: "Got the glitter finished on the stairs tonight while the kids are in bed, just got to finish the paint."

The mum revealed that she used a sander on the wood followed by black gloss paint, before applying the wallpaper - a roll of which she had purchased for £3.99 from .

She told Fabulous that she had decided to brighten up the area of her home after it was flooded when a pipe burst in the bathroom, and noted that it had been very easy to execute.

Her post went down well with fellow group members who left dozens of 'likes'.

One person wrote: "That looks so good."

Another commented: "Oh wow that looks amazing!"

A third shared: "Looks awesome!"

And a fourth added: "Looks brill."

According to the eBay description, the wallpaper is "self adhesive" so you simply "peel and stick".

It is made from chunky embossed glitter so "catches the light from all angles".
