Woman gives her dingy staircase a stunning makeover using B&M carpet tiles and the whole thing cost £12

A SAVVY woman has revealed how she managed to revamp her stairs on a budget after her house renovation was halted due to coronavirus.

She was in the middle of re-doing her home when all work had to stop due to the pandemic, leaving her with a staircase which looked worse for wear.

Her stairs looked a state after her renovation work had to be abandoned half way through

The steps had all the paint stripped off them, revealing patches of white, green and wood.

With work not re-starting any time soon and money tight, she rolled up her sleeves and decided to tackle the eyesore on a budget.

She decided to give the staircase a fresh lick of paint and picked up some carpet tiles from B&M, then cut them in half and stuck them on top.

The entire job cost her £12, and her stairs look completely different.

She said: “In middle of renovating the whole house and with being out of work money has dried up for a bit….

“So x6 carpet tiles cut in half from b&m and painted stairs white total cost £12 and so much better until can afford to do it properly.”

People have praised her for tackling the job herself, saying the stairs were virtually unrecognisable.
