Audible giving away hundreds of free children’s books during school closure

MUMS are praising Audible after they made hundreds of children’s books available for free after the schools shut.
As parents look for ways to keep their kids entertained now they’re at home all day, the online platform decided to make dozens of titles free - and you don’t need an account to listen to them.
, aimed at younger audiences, said the books would be available at no cost for as long as necessary, and they’re available to listen to on a laptop, desktop, smartphone or tablet.
The website said: “Stories will be here so kids everywhere and of all ages can stream incredible content to keep their minds engaged while daily routines are disrupted in these unprecedented circumstances.
“For as long as schools are closed, we're open.
"Starting today, kids everywhere can instantly stream an incredible collection of stories, including titles across six different languages, that will help them continue dreaming, learning, and just being kids.”
Audible Stories is available in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, and Japanese, so it could even help schoolkids keep up with some subjects.
Books are grouped into categories, including Littlest Listeners, Tween and Literary Classics, with firm favourites such as Winnie the Pooh and Alice in Wonderland up for grabs.
One mum spotted the offer and shared in on Facebook page .
She said: “Go to audible. 100s of free children's books during school closure. No account needed.”
More than 1,000 people liked her post, as they praised the site for helping out parents amid the coronavirus pandemic.
One mum said: “Will need this.”
Another raved: “I will have a look sounds good.”
A third commented: "I will have a look sounds good."
While this parent added: “Brilliant gonna try it.”
