Mum hits back at trolls who ‘mum shamed’ her for letting kids eat McDonald’s and spend hours watching YouTube
A MUM-of-two has hit back at trolls who "mum shamed" her for letting her kids eat McDonald's and spend hours watching YouTube.
Caitlin Fladager, 23, from Vancouver, shared a photo of her two young children Ariana and Jack enjoying a lazy day on the sofa with her 330,000 Instagram followers.
She wrote : "Sometimes I make my kids awesome dinners and do activities with them.
"But some days I get them McDonald's and let them watch a lot of TV (YouTube)."
As a high-profile mummy blogger, dealing with negative comments online is something Caitlin has had to come to terms with - and one follower even compared letting her children eat McDonald's to giving them cigarettes.
Last year, Caitlin was also criticised when she admitted to smoking weed after putting her kids to bed and insisted it was not any different to having a glass of wine.
Inviting her followers to share their own instances of "mum shaming", Caitlin added: "I want to celebrate all we do for our kids, even the 'frowned upon' things.
"We're all doing the best we can!"
After sharing the post, Caitlin's followers rallied around the mum-of-two and revealed they'd also been victims of "mum shaming".
One argued: "If a happy meal and YouTube makes your kids happy and your life easier that's all that should matter!"
"I'm so glad I'm not the only one," another added. "There's been days when I don't even want to cook dinner or play with them."
Explaining how she's been "mum shamed", a third replied: "Co-sleeping and the fact that I continue to comfort breastfeed my son who is almost two."
In more parenting news, this "bad" mum-of-two revealed she's been slammed for having tattoos, piercings and ABS - but has vowed not to let trolls win.
And this mum joked she's "scared" of her four-year-old daughter after she made a bizarre threat - and parents think it's hilarious.
Plus this mortified new mum accidentally asked her Hermes delivery driver for period advice after mixing up her numbers.
