WHEN it comes to cooking dinner, most of us are so desperate to just get it on the table as quickly as possible that we don't even stop to consider the mess we're leaving behind.

However, Stacey Solomon - otherwise known as our go-to celeb for cleaning tips - has revealed her genius way of keeping her kitchen counters sparkling while she's cooking.

Stacey posted a photo of her shepherd's pie on her Instagram stories earlier this week - but fans were baffled why she had stuck the spoon into the handle's hole

Earlier this week, the mum-of-three posted a video of her making a shepherds pie with her 2.9 million Instagram followers.

After getting all the ingredients out of her immaculately organised fridge, Stacey started by popping the chopped onions in the saucepan to cook first.

While she was waiting for them to brown, Stacey slotted her spoon into the hole in the handle of her saucepan to avoid making a mess on the kitchen counters.

Thinking nothing of it, the star was amazed when followers started messaging her to ask about the strange placement of the spoon.

Speaking to camera in her next Instagram story, she explained: "I've had a few people messaging me about my spoon.

"I'm sure that is what this hole is for! You stir and then you just put it back in the hole. That's the whole point of the hole!"

However, followers argued that the hole was actually designed for when you hang the saucepans up to dry - although Stacey's tip is one we'll definitely start doing at home.

Insisting that she was in the right, the star then went over to her kitchen cupboards which she's organised using shower hooks.

She continued: "Obviously, another reason for the hole is to hang your pans up.

"But I'm telling you, the person who invented that hole invented it for the spoon! This was just a happy accident!"

Earlier this week, the star gave fans a glimpse inside her immaculate fridge and shared how she meal preps to save time.

The mum-of-three spent her Sunday chopping veg for mid-week dinners and stored them in clever glass containers labelled by the day of the week.

And Stacey shared her very satisfying organisation hack for her son's jumbled crayon drawer - and it only cost a tenner.

Plus Stacey showed off her ultra-tidy jeans drawer - and you don't even need to buy anything to copy her hack.

And if that wasn't enough, Stacey also gave fans a glimpse inside her ultra-tidy bathroom cabinets - and all she's used are a couple of IKEA bargains.
