Prince George and Princess Charlotte went lambing over half term as Wills & Kate want them to experience ‘country life’

PRINCE William revealed he and Kate took their children lambing over the half term as they want them to experience the ‘country way of life’. 

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been spending some quality time with Prince George, six, Princess Charlotte, four, and Prince Louis, who’s nearly two, during the school break.

The parents took the trio to their country retreat in Norfolk, Anmer Hall, which was given to them as a gift from the Queen in 2011. 

Prince William, 37, revealed the Cambridge children got stuck into some lambing during the holidays, as he praised Welsh farmers.

The Duke opened up about their family trip while chatting with injured players in Cardiff, ahead of the Six Nations match against France. 

He said: “We've been lambing with the children this week.

“Charlotte wasn't sure at first but George was straight in there. 

“Louis loves the tractors. They love seeing the lambs and feeding the lambs.

“Dairy farming - you are all seriously tough.”

Prince William made the comments while chatting with injured player, 34-year-old Rhian Roberts.

Rhian, who married a Welsh dairy farmer, said: “We were talking about the land where he was and the land where we are, which is a mining area.

"He said they've been lambing this week up in Norfolk.

“They want the children to see the country way of life as well as the city way of life."

She described the dad-of-three as “down to earth”.

Prince George and Princess Charlotte both attend St Thomas’ school in Battersea, with Kate and Prince William back on the school run tomorrow as class resume.
