The UK’s top 10 favourite sex positions revealed, from the Eagle to the Pretzel

WITH Valentine’s Day around the corner the UK’s top 10 favourite sex positions have been revealed if you wanted to explore something new in the bedroom.

It seems Brits have been tuning into Love Island as the Eagle topped the list, thought to be inspired by Curtis Pritchard’s confession.

Despite the dancer admitting it was his favourite move on last year’s show, the sex position was searched for more than 150,000 times in the last month alone.

The findings, compiled by , showed Londoners preferred the Eagle over any other city.

While the novel move made the top spot, firm favourites such as Missionary, Doggy Style, 69 and Standing all made the top ten.

The stats also revealed that the 69 is the second favourite position for Brits, and is a winner for the residents of Yorkshire and the Humber, with more than 33 per cent rating this as their top choice.

Coming in third place is Missionary, with a whopping 11 cities naming the traditional position as their go-to in the bedroom.

In fourth place is Cowgirl, followed by Reverse Cowgirl in fifth, with 29 per cent of the North West preferring the latter.

The exotic Lotus position came in sixth place, a while classic Spooning was ranked in eighth place.

Standing came next, with 50 per cent of residents in the North East naming it as their fave, and making up the top 10 is the Pretzel.

The top choice among the UK's major cities was also revealed, with Birmingham, Brighton, Oxford, Bristol, York and Southampton preferring the 69.

Blackpool, Dundee and Bath went for the Cowgirl, while Newcastle, Glasgow, Coventry, Manchester, Plymouth, Swansea and Sheffield enjoyed the Eagle.

Exeter, Doncaster, Belfast and Bournemouth named Missionary as their favourite, while Norwich, Milton Keynes, Rotherham, Stockport, Sunderland and Worcester went for Standing.

Meanwhile the stats also showed Brits’ least favourite poses, with The Cross, the Thigh Master and The Shard not getting much love.

OnBuy analysed Google search terms and conducted a nationwide survey to find out what the most-searched sex positions in the UK are, and which city favours what position.
