Thrifty mum revamps her cluttered kitchen into a chic light space for just £35 using Aldi paint

A MUM managed to update her dated and dark kitchen for just £35 by using bargain finds from Aldi and Wilko’s.

Kayleigh Rose Ann Withington, 23, from Manchester, recently moved house and decided the kitchen - which had dark worktops and a beige splashback - had to go.

The crafty mum, who's expecting her third child, sourced leftover flooring from her in-laws, and shopped around for bargains at Aldi and Wilko for the rest. 

Kayleigh, who runs , told Fabulous Digital: "We recently moved to our new home and I’m currently doing up the whole home, it feels nicer to have everything brighter and more airy.

"It benefits my mental health to be in a more clean fresh environment.

"It took less than 2 days! "

She shared snaps to Facebook group showing the transformation, saying: “Before and after our kitchen, total cost £35!

“We changed the floor to white wood with leftover planks from the in law’s house.

“White tile paint on tiles, white chalk paint from Aldi for cupboards, with gloss on top.

“2 rolls of white wood effect vinyl from Wilkos!”

Her budget makeover has gone down well with DIY fans, with more than 1,000 people liking her post.
