Mother-of-bride’s quirky multicoloured dress likened to ‘Neapolitan ice cream’ by unimpressed wedding guests

IT might not be your big day - but it's only natural for the mother-of-the-bride to want to wear something special to her daughter's wedding.

But while most opt for a statement accessory of some sort, one woman decided to go all out for the occasion with a quirky multi-coloured dress - and people think it looks more Neapolitan ice cream than high fashion.

An unimpressed guest shared a photo of the mother-of-the-bride proudly posing next to the newlyweds on the Facebook group That's It, I'm Wedding Shaming.

Inviting others to pick apart the dress, she wrote: "Shaming the mother of the bride! She clearly couldn't decide between dress or accordion."

Her post has since racked up over 1,200 likes and 300 comments - and other members certainly didn't hold back.

Imagining the bride's reaction, one user wrote: "This is so bad - I wouldn't even be that mad because I would be LOSING it."

While one user argued her dress looked like a "Roman blind", another added: "She looks like one those paper Chinese dragons."

Meanwhile, a third wrote: "She looks like Neapolitan ice cream."

"This looks like something they wore in Hunger Games in the Capital," one critic argued.

In response to all the criticism, another member joked: "It's called haute couture sweetie, look it up."
