Pregnant mum-of-21 Sue Radford gets excited her bump has ‘finally popped’ after worrying about it being small
MUM-of-21 Sue Radford says that her baby bump has “finally popped” after worrying that it was her “smallest ever.”
Taking to today, the 44-year-old from Morecambe, Lancs, shared a picture of her growing stomach at 28 weeks pregnant with what will be her 22nd child.
Her bump is considerably larger than it was three weeks ago when she admitted to feeling “so tiny.”
Captioning her post today, Sue said: “Think my bump has finally popped out at 28 weeks 😍 I honestly can’t believe she will be here in around 10 weeks’ time.”
It is bound to come as a relief for Sue, who admitted she had been feeling “stressed” over a complication with her unborn baby's placenta.
The mum had developed an anterior placenta - which sits in front of the baby rather behind.
Despite the complication (which she has had once before with her daughter Bonnie), Sue told her 134,000 feeling healthy and like she has "loads of energy".
On top of this, Sue says this is the smallest baby bump she's ever had - which has also relieved her of the crippling back pain she's experienced in previous pregnancies.
Speaking in the clip she said: "I'm feeling really healthy, got loads of energy. I've not got any back pain which I must say is down to the fact that I don't feel as big as I have done with the others.
"I definitely feel smaller. I don't know if it's got anything to do with the anterior placenta because the placenta is at the front - but I had that with Bonnie and I still felt big with her.
What is an anterior placenta?
- Rather than being placed behind the baby, an anterior placenta is in front
- Some mums-to-be feel like the placenta acts as a cushion between the baby and their stomach when they start kicking
- Having a placenta in front of the stomach can make it difficult to hear the baby's heartbeat
- Anterior placentas shouldn't affect your baby's health - but there is a chance the interior grows up instead of down and moves towards your cervix

Sue speculated whether the position of her baby girl has made a difference as she was showing to be in the breech position at Sue's 20-week scan.
The mum and her partner Noel famously don’t claim any benefits apart from Child Benefit and rely on Noel’s bakery business to make ends meet.
The Radfords are parents to Chris, 30, Sophie, 25, Chloe, 23, Jack, 22, Daniel, 20, Luke, 18, Millie, 17, Katie, 16, James, 15, Ellie, 14, Aimee, 13, Josh, 12, Max, 11, Tillie, nine, Oscar, seven, Casper, six, Hallie, three, Phoebe, two, Archie 18 months, and Bonnie, one.
They also have three grandchildren - who are Sophie's kids - Daisy, six, Ayprill, four, and Leo, two.
