Who is Heather Dorak? Meghan Markle’s friend, Pilates teacher and Instagram mum
MEGHAN Markle was all smiles when she picked up her Pilates-teaching pal Heather Dorak from Vancouver Island Airport last week.
Here's what we know about the Duchess of Sussex's "best friend".
Who is Heather Dorak?
Heather Dorak is Meghan Markle's pal and pilates guru.
She's from San Antonio, Texas, but lives in California where she owns six Pilates Platinum studios.
The mum-of-two became Meghan's instructor before she met future husband Harry.
Heather was a regular contributor to Meghan's lifestyle site, The Tig and featured regularly on her pre-royal life Instagram account.
The pair were pictured enjoying playful Pilates workouts in panamas on the beach. Meghan has described her friend’s workouts as “hands down the best thing you can do for your body”.
Heather often calls Meghan her "best friend" on social media.
How does she know Meghan?
The pair have been friend for almost 15 years, according to Instagram.
In a social media post from 2015 Heather said she was celebrating ten years of friendship with Meghan, adding that Meghan was "one of my first clients".
Heather and Meghan have shared holidays and days out together, including a trip to a Vancouver Canucks hockey game in 2015.
Heather also attended Meghan's 2015 speech at the UN Women’s 20th anniversary of the Fourth World Conference of Women in Beijing event in New York City with Meghan's mum Doria Ragland.
Heather married Matt Cohen, the founder and CEO of the money-saving app Grand, in 2017.
The couple were guests at Meghan and Harry's wedding in May 2018.
Both women became pregnant late in 2018.
How many children does she have?
Heather and Matt have two sons, the eldest being born in 2017.
The couple's youngest son was born in February 2019,
Heather frequently posts pictures of her sons on Instagram.
Does she train any other celebrities?
Yes, Heather also trains actress Eva Longoria and Victoria's Secret Angel Alessandra Ambrosio, who was recently spotted at a Pilates Platinum studio.
