Find your perfect gym kit as we rate high street’s sportswear for comfort and style
FINDING gym kit you feel comfy in can be the first hurdle to getting fit.
Sports gear is often pricey but you can pick up stylish sportswear while you shop on the High Street.
Marks & Spencer has launched GoodMove, a collection featuring everything from sports bras to shoes.
Other retailers have also put out fitness ranges, but which are best?
Cigdem Tanrioglu asked model Billie-Jean Blackett, from Herts, to try out kit while skipping, and give her verdicts while rating items out of ten.
Asda: 8/10
“This is super comfy and hugs my body nicely.
“Gym bras can feel a bit restrictive but this feels great.
“As it’s long-line it gives extra support so ideal for bigger busts.”

Sainsbury's: 7/10
“Leggings are comfiest I’ve worn.
“Top would be great for a low-intensity class.
“But it rode up as I skipped so it may not stay in place during more cardio-based workouts.
“Trainers feel like I’m walking on air.
“But I didn’t feel as stylish in this set.”

“My favourite – sleek, well-fitted and comfortable.
“The leggings stayed exactly in place while I was skipping and I can’t imagine they would fall down if I skipped for one hour rather than a minute.
“Plus, because they’re more high-waisted, they give my figure more definition and support my stomach. I love them.”

“The bright colours lifted my mood and made me excited to work out.
“Everything felt supportive and the T-shirt doesn’t ride up when moving around, plus it’s good if you want to hide love handles or the stomach without feeling completely covered up.”

“These leggings are not comfortable at all.
“They feel restrictive, especially on my calves.
“The cropped leg would not be great for big calf muscles – you can definitely feel them digging in.
“The bra is really supportive, great for bigger-busted ladies to jump around in.”

“Top has padding that gives you a shape but it’s not supportive.
“The shorts are a change from a hotpant style if you are conscious of thighs, and flatter the bum.
