Meghan Markle reveals Archie was so impressed with ‘the beauty of Canada’ he cooed when on their walks
MEGHAN Markle and Prince Harry have returned from their six-week break, and revealed baby Archie was left awestruck at Canada.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex did their first engagement of 2020 at Canada House in London yesterday, and spoke of their trip with their seven-month-old son.
The royal couple met with Janice Charette, the Canadian High Commissioner to the UK, and thanked the people of Canada for their warmth during their stay.
Meghan, 38, said: “And just to be able to take in the warmth that we experienced from the people also just walk around and just see the beauty of Canada.
“To see Archie go 'ahh' when you walk by and just see how stunning it is, so it meant a lot to us.”
The Sussex family enjoyed a low-key break across the pond, and spent their time jogging and hiking with friends and family.
Prince Harry, 35, was clearly taken with the Canadian lifestyle too, as he added yesterday: “What a wonderful place you live in.
“Thank you so much, not that any of you had that much to do with it, but the warmth and hospitality we were shown while there was unbelievable, and that's exactly why we chose Canada.”
Although the palace had said any rumours are “speculation”, it has been claimed that the Sussexes are reportedly considering relocating their office to Canada or relinquishing their HRH titles.
Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland, also joined Meghan and Harry for their break in Canada, according to reports.
The royals were spotted by a hiker couple who were struggling to take a photograph of themselves with a selfie stick - with Meghan and Harry offering to take the shot.
Although they stayed away from photographers, the royals were seen hiking in Horth Hill Regional Park - near to the exclusive French restaurant Deep Cove Chalet where they were reportedly refused a table over their tight security needs.
Music mogul David Foster claims he arranged for Meghan and Prince Harry to stay in a remote $14million waterfront estate in North Saanich which belonged to a close friend of his.
The couple was last seen in public together at the Remembrance Day services, with Harry doing a solo appearance at the Royal Albert Hall for the OnSide Awards.
We shared how a body language expert said 'anxious' Prince Harry ‘acted like Meghan Markle’s bodyguard’ yesterday.
While Prince Harry looked smart in a navy suit, Meghan looked elegant in a £345 Reiss tan coat, a £89.95 brown satin Massimo Dutti skirt, Jimmy Choo heels and a brown turtle-neck top.
