Little Alfie died from a asthma attack aged seven after being diagnosed with the respiratory condition 18 months previously.

Her younger son Harry, now seven, who had shared a room with Alfie, was left devastated at the tragedy.

Jennifer, 36, from Bournemouth, told Fabulous Digital: “Since this he hasn’t wanted to sleep in his room on his own so we decided to create a dream bedroom for him.

“We are all Harry Potter-heads and love the magic.”

Jennifer and her husband John set out about making their old playroom into a pad fit for the famous wizard.

This included all the magical touches, from a four-poster bed like the Gryffindor students have at Hogwarts to wizard-themed hooks for coats.

Jennifer even told her son about the room renovation in a very creative way; sending him his very own Hogwarts letter on Christmas day.

Jennifer said: “My son received a letter from Hogwarts Christmas morning telling him he can now practice magic in the muggle world but only in his bedroom using his code word SPELIOECHO before every incantation.

“He has begun with three spells to practice and when these are mastered he can learn new ones.”

The finished results was absolutely spell-binding, and has racked up thousands of likes online from impressed Potter fans.

Little Harry, seven, also has a water bottle in the shape of a Skele-Gro bottle

Jennifer said she was able to get the wooden, old-fashioned desk for £40 second hand, and an antique chair for £25.

The large sticker of Hogwarts on the wall was from Google, and there is even a stuffed Hedwig toy in a cage from Amazon.

Other magical items include water bottle of Skele-Gro, the potion that grows new bones in the book, and a night lamp of Polyjuice Potion, the concoction that lets you transform into other people temporarily.

Jennifer said: “The poly juice light is battery operated and he still isn’t a fan of sleeping on his own but the Polyjuice night light is battery operated so this really helps him.”

The couple have even changed the Alexa in the room to have the alert word “echo” so he has to do the “spelioecho” to do “spells” in the room.

She also added a Snitch moneybox from Primark and a Hogwarts train on the window sill.

The entire transformation cost around £2,200 and the majority of the money went on Harry’s incredible Gryffindor four-poster bed, which was custom-made from .

Jennifer said: “My husband and I both love decorating. I don’t mind saving to do stuff so it’s perfect!”
