Groom’s step-mother is slammed for wearing a dress ‘even more white than the bride’s’

Posing next to the bride, the woman could easily be mistaken for the one who is getting married with her brilliant white dress floor-length and covered in lace.

Meanwhile the bride herself is wearing a far more subtle dress in a cream shade leading fellow Reditors to confuse the two.

Captioning the photo, the user wrote: “It’s been 10 years since my sister’s wedding, but had to share the shame of my BIL’s stepmother.”

And fellow Redditors were equally incensed, sharing their outrage in the comments.

One wrote: “What gets me is her dress is even more white than the brides!”

Another agreed adding: “I would not have included her in any pics! I don’t understand why people think this is ok. Actually, I know they know it’s not…they just don’t care.”

“Where's the step-mother? All I see is two brides” said a third.

Meanwhile others were quick to bolster the bride, arguing that the step-mother’s choice had only made her look better.

Agreeing a second commented: “Joke's on her because that dress is horrifically unflattering and ugly.”

The photo was shared on the subreddit r/weddingshaming.
