Mum makes incredible playhouse under the stairs for her daughter using bits from Homebase and eBay
A MUM turned her giant cupboard under the stairs into a magical den for her daughter complete with a pink fluffy rug and fairy lights.
The mum revealed she and her husband worked tirelessly on the project over the holidays, as a surprise for their little girl.
The pair spent weeks transforming the oversized cupboard under the stairs, unveiling their handiwork as a present on Christmas Day.
The pair gave the walls a lick of paint, added some chic brick-effect wallpaper and even a desk space.
The mum revealed she picked up the pink wallpaper from Homebase, while they sourced the leaf curtain from eBay.
They also equipped the den with some pink accessories, including a matching chair, rug and stool, as well as shelves for all her toys and games.
Finally they added in a TV for her to watch films on, strung up some cosy lights and added a mirror to maximise the space.
The proud mum shared before-and-after snaps to Facebook group, which have racked up more than 12,000 likes.
The mum wrote: “Surprise our little girl on Christmas day.
“My husband and I transformed our oversized cupboard under the stairs into a den for her.
“The elf’s were working on it all month.
“So happy with the outcome so I thought I’d share.”
Many were left in disbelief over the end result – and the size of their cupboard – as the mum revealed her little girl “loves it”.
Commenting on the DIY project, one person said: “This is adorable, how lucky of her to have such a lovely creative space. Clever little elves.”
Another wrote: “Amazing … every little girls dream.”
A third said: “It’s FANTASTIC. Bet she loves it.”
Someone else thought: “She will cherish the memories of her new space as she grows. Beautiful job!”
