Mum makes incredible Christmas treats by melting chocolate into festive ice cube trays she bought from Poundland

A THRIFTY mum decided to make some homemade gifts by melting chocolate into festive ice cube trays – picking up all her supplies from Poundland.
She claimed she loves a DIY present, so set about making some chocolatey goodies with her kids as a last minute gift.
She picked up some Terry’s chocolate orange, ice cube trays in the shape of stars, candy canes, gingerbread men and houses, as well as some festive wrapping paper all from Poundland.
She melted down the chocolate and poured it into the moulds, before making gift bags for the Christmassy treats.
Her thrifty idea has been praised by fellow parents online, after she shared her idea to Facebook group .
Sharing her incredible gift bags, she said: “Love a homemade gift.
“I've done these with the children as little last minute presents....
“Everything from Poundland.”
Revealing her step-by-step method, she added: “I melted the chocolate spooned it into the moulds and then put in the fridge for a couple of hours.
“So easy don't know why I've not done it before.
“I used a glass bowl over a steaming pan of water and stir.
"I used a batch of dairy milk (approx 6 small bars) and a batch of chocolate orange ones (approx 1 and half)."
And the treats went down well in her household, as she added: “It was a last minute thought when I saw them.... Taste so good as well.
“Just try not to eat them all. I made extra in the end.”
Dozens of people have liked her post, saying they’re going to
try it out for themselves.
One person said: “Brilliant idea! Think I'll give this a go for xmas eve box."
Someone else wrote: “What an excellent idea.
"Can’t believe I haven’t thought of using chocolate oranges before.”
