Mum in hysterics over daughter’s Christmas Eve itinerary, from waking up to check on Santa to ‘maybe getting dressed’
FOR adults, the festive season is one of the few times you get to kick back and relax while eating your weight in seasonal goodies.
But for children, Christmas is a magical time that comes only once a year - and they want to make sure they savour every moment.
So naturally, this year Samantha Leigh Massey's 8-year-old daughter Scarlett has planned out every moment of the family's Christmas Eve - and it's nothing short of adorable.
Sharing her daughter's detailed plans on Facebook, Samantha wrote: "Christmas Eve itinerary from the point of view of an 8 year old girl."
After getting up, brushing her teeth and "maybe getting dressed", Scarlett intends on spending an unspecified amount of time "getting festive" - which we can only imagine means watching Elf on repeat.
What's more, the little girl hasn't forgotten the true meaning of Christmas and plans on holding a "one minute silence to remember Jesus" before she has dinner, watches a film, brushes her teeth again and wakes up in the night to see if Father Christmas is real.
The mum added: "My favourites are 4 [getting dressed -maybe not], 7 [get festive] & 8 [one minute of silence to remember Jesus], she doesn’t stand a chance of 13 [wake up at night to see if Santa is real], she can literally stay asleep while falling out of bed!";
Needless to say, other Facebook users were equally as obsessed with Scarlett's note.
One replied: "I'm loving how hygiene conscious she is about her teeth!"
Another added: "I love number 8 but I also love how she's not forgotten to factor in food!!!"
Meanwhile, a third gushed: "She's my kind of girl!"
