A FESTIVE new brainteaser is challenging internet users to help Santa locate his missing chief elf. 

The yuletide puzzle has Father Christmas’ helper hidden among the soft snow after she fell out of the reindeer-pulled sleigh - and on average it takes 1 minute 46 seconds to complete. 

The cheeky elf is hiding among some idyllic chalets, trees and reindeer and is waiting to be found. 

According to the creators, , Santa needs to get the elf back to the workshop before she is spotted.
