But shoppers are praising Marks and Spencer for selling "Christmas in a box" which includes all the essentials - including a 6ft tree - for just £35.
Taking to the on Facebook, one woman shared a photograph of the box, explaining she thought it was ";very reasonable".
"I think this is very reasonable considering it’s M&S!" She wrote.
"£35 includes a 6ft tree, 59 shatterproof baubles, 100 LED lights and a tree topper."
The tree is pre-lit with 100 lights and comes with 59 shatterproof baubles in a range of styles and shapes.

You can choose between a red, gold and green colour scheme or wintry white and silver.
The incredible bargain also comes with a star tree topper for a finishing touch.
Shoppers have been going wild for the deal, with one writing: "Fabulous tree! Absolutely great value for money!"
While another said: "Perfect tree. My tree is lovely, really pleased that it comes complete with decorations and lights. Amazing."
