Newlyweds pose for cringey garter photo with a very confused little boy next to them but all people notice are her socks
A COUPLE'S wedding photo has been slammed as "cringey" after the groom was pictured "searching for Narnia" under the bride's dress.
But despite the newlyweds being criticised for the "garter toss" - a tradition in which the groom removes his wife's garter and tosses it to single men at the wedding - many Facebook users were more concerned with the bride's stripey blue socks.
The image was shared on the That's It, I'm Wedding Shaming group on Facebook where users were horrified at the scene.
Taking place at the wedding reception, the bride is sat on a chair while the groom - whose head is completely buried under her dress - was searching for the garter.
But in doing so, he revealed his wife's socks, which appear to be blue and stripey in design.
Users were quick to comment on the odd choice, with one admitting: "My eyes went straight to her sock."
Others called the tradition "trashy" with many saying it made them feel uncomfortable.
"This is always the trashiest, nobody makes this look good," one person wrote.
While another said: "This tradition always made me very uncomfortable."
While others thought it was harmless, one person said: "Some of us find the act of digging for lingerie from you spouse's thigh, while your family watches (children included) to be weird and gross".
