Mum creates amazing Batman bedroom for her comic-obsessed son using B&M and eBay buys for £66
A MUM has revealed how she transformed her son's bedroom for just £66.
Sonia Sibley created a Batman-inspired bedroom for her son, using bargain buys from the likes of B&M and eBay.
The 32-year-old told how she managed to transform the bedroom for her little boy who loves comics.
Explaining how she was looking for a cheaper way to create the Batman design, the mum decided to draw it onto the wall herself.
"I looked on Google for Batman rooms and realised that I could buy transfers but his wall is not great so they would never stick. So I decided to draw it!" She explained.
Sonia - who works as a cleaner - explained how she used just a ruler and tester pots to begin with.
"I bought a ruler for £2.35 and I went to Homebase to buy tester pots for £5. I started to draw an outline with a pen although I was scared at how it would turn out," Sonia said.
The mum got to work during the day while her son was at school as well as working late into the night to finish it.
Once Sonia had completed the decorating, she added the finishing touches by sourcing some affordable accessories.
She managed to snap up the bedding and rug off eBay for £21 as well as the cushions for just £2.
She also sourced the lamp, throw, lampshade and plant for £24 at B&M as well as a clothes rack for £12 from Screwfix - for all his fancy dress.
Sonia explained: “I know it's not perfect but it was cheap and every time he now goes into his room he will always know that Mummy drew his Batman and it was done with love. When Vinnie first saw the room he literally lit up the room with his smile and said ‘Mummy, I love it and I love you’!"
