Mum makes incredible room under the stairs for her toddler son using bargains from Poundland
A CREATIVE mum has revealed how she transformed her room under the stairs into a playroom for her toddler using bargains from Poundland.
Ashleigh Dunkley, from Buckie, North East Scotland, used foam pads and LED lights to create the sensory space for her three-year-old son CJ.

The mum-of-two even made her own ball pit after sourcing materials on Facebook Marketplace and estimates that she spent no more than £80 on the project.
She was eager to transform the “junk room” after her son was benefiting from weekly trips to a sensory room at his developmental nursery, and decided to try her hand at making one.
As well as Facebook, Ashleigh sourced other materials, such as her foam tiles and LED strip lights from Amazon.
Meanwhile she picked up a selection of additional children’s bedroom lights in Poundland and finished the room off with lava lamps that she already owned.

And Ashleigh’s hard work has pulled off as she says that her son loves his new playroom.
Speaking to she said: “It really settles him. Almost like someone’s pressed a reset button. He is a big sensory seeker so bright lights, white noise and a ball pit are right up his street.”
And Ashleigh’s pals were quick to praise her handiwork, after she posted photos of the results on Facebook.
One commented: “You done a great job with this. It’s an inspiration to others that a little bit of hard work goes a long way.”
