Woman saves herself re-tiling bathroom just by using cotton wool and bleach on mouldy grout
A WOMAN managed to banish unsightly black mould from her bathroom – using everyday household products.
Grimy mould around bathtubs and showers is an eyesore, and you can scrub for ages and barely make a dent in the dirt.
Fed up with her mouldy tiles, one woman pleaded for suggestions of how to remove it – for good.
She shared a snap of her beige tiles, which are covered in a border of mould.
Sharing the image to Facebook group , she said: “Please please please help!!!”
Hundreds of people commented on her post, suggesting remedies from re-tiling her bathtub to toilet cleaner.
One person said: “New sealant you will never get that mould off and anyone who’s says a cleaning product is lying.”
Someone else suggested: “Toilet bowl cleaner!!! It melts it right off.”
A third added: “Vinegar and bicarbonate.”
Numerous people recommended bleach, and after using cotton wool and the powerful cleaner, she shared a snap of her tiles looking good as new.
She said: “Thank you to everyone who has commented!!!!
“I used cotton wool and bleach and have attached photos of the results. Wow!”
Impressed with her efforts, dozens of people liked the post, with one person saying: “This is amazing.”
