The Queen is a big fan of Kate Middleton’s ‘unflappable keep calm and carry on approach in life’, says royal insider
THE Queen is a big fan of Kate Middleton as she admires her ‘unflappable’ attitude, a royal insider has revealed.
The Duchess of Cambridge is said to take cues from the Queen, as she will one day step into her role after Prince William is crowned king.
“Her mantra is very like the Queen’s keep calm and carry on approach in life, and she has the added benefit of making the Royal Family seem almost normal and in touch.”
Kate is widely seen as ‘relatable’ by the public, wearing affordable brands and shopping at stores such as The Range.
The Duchess’ biographer, Claudia Joseph, said it’s seen Kate get into the Queen’s good books.
She said: “She’s very much the girl next door, from how she dresses to how she behaves and interacts with people on engagements.
“She is likeable and relatable and that has made her very popular.”
Claudia added that 2019 has been “Kate’s year”, with a number of successful engagements and her first ever TV interview.
She said the Duchess appeared “happier” with a “new confidence” about her.
The Queen’s approval of Kate was cemented when she bestowed her the Royal Family Order, the highest order the monarch can give a female royal, at the end of last year.
Claudia added: “She has three lovely children, has been honoured by the Queen for her hard work and is really well liked not just here but around the world.”
And Kate Middleton wore a pair of Princess Diana's earrings - but gave them her own twist.
In other royal news, Charlotte Church says the Queen has no idea who she was, despite them meeting seven times previously.
We also revealed the Queen wanted the royal children to be ‘seated in a different room’ for Christmas lunch, claims royal biographer.
