Meghan and Harry share quote on Instagram about ‘not letting fear stop you’ after admitting ‘struggles’ with royal life
MEGHAN Markle and Prince Harry have shared an inspirational quote about courage after admitting “struggles” with royal life.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex shared the quote from American surfer Bethany Hamilton, who lost her arm in a shark attack, with their Instagram followers on their Sussex Royal account yesterday.
The quote read: “Courage doesn’t mean you don’t get afraid. Courage means you don’t let fear stop you.”
Captioning the post, the royal couple wrote: “An inspiring quote to begin the week!”
It comes just weeks after Meghan Markle admitted that her royal life had been a “struggle” in ITV documentary, Harry and Meghan: An African Journey.
Speaking to presenter Tom Bradby she fights back tears, saying: "Look, any woman especially when they are pregnant you’re really vulnerable and so that was made really challenging, and then when you have a newborn – you know…
"And especially as a woman, it’s a lot. So you add this on top of just trying to be a new mom or trying to be a newlywed it’s, well…
"And, also thank you for asking, because not many people have asked if I’m OK. But it’s a very real thing to be going through behind the scenes."
Tom asks her directly if it is fair to say that it has been a struggle, and looking emotional, Meghan replies: "Yes."
And royal fans were quick to bolster Harry and Meghan after they shared the “inspiring” quote this morning.
Commenting on the post one wrote: “We love you, Meghan. xoxo Keep fighting the good fight!”
Another added: “So true....Meghan and Harry are courageous and unstoppable”
