Princess Beatrice’s fiancé Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi HAS invited his ex to the wedding & she’s taking etiquette lessons
PRINCESS Beatrice is tying the knot with multi-millionaire property developer Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi next year and preparations are underway.
Among the star-studded invitees is expected to be Edo’s former fiancé architect Dara Huang, with whom he shares three-year-old son Christopher Woolf.
According to the , Dara is currently taking etiquette lessons ahead of the royal wedding.
Columnist Richard Eden wrote: “Her friend Myka Meier, who runs the New York-based business Beaumont Etiquette, visited London this week and showed Dara how to cross her legs in a lady-like, elegant fashion.
“Dara practised inclining her legs in what's known as the 'duchess slant', then confided in friends: 'It really does look better.’”
Princess Beatrice and Edoardo announced they were engaged in September after he popped the question in Italy earlier that month.
We shared how little Christopher is also having etiquette lessons with Myka, who is a well-known etiquette trainer who is close friends with American Dara.
Myka lives in New York with her Swiss husband but is certainly the woman for such a job, having been trained in etiquette by a former staff member of the Queen.
She is the founder of Beaumont Etiquette and The Plaza Hotel Finishing Program and next year publishes debut book Modern Etiquette Made Easy.
Dara responded to the news of the royal engagement with a classy statement that said: “I wish the best for Edo and Beatrice and look forward to uniting our families.”
Despite the three-year relationship ending abruptly, with Edo dating Beatrice just weeks after their split - she has stayed silent and refused to condemn her ex-fiancee.
The break up was allegedly so unexpected that Dara ended up sleeping on a friend’s sofa but the pair have remained amicable throughout, sharing custody of their son.
Her business, DH Liberty, is based in London and Hong Kong, but Dara has also travelled to Thailand, Singapore, Myanmar, China and Italy in the last few months alone.
Dara met Edo through her work for his property company Banda and she is still involved in many of the £100m worth of building projects the firm is currently working on.
Millionaire property tycoon Edouardo popped the question in 2015 and she set about planning a lavish society wedding with an impressive guest list that included Edo’s Royal friends.
But, soon after the birth of baby Woolfie, Dara was “unceremoniously dumped” by Edo, according to sources close to the couple.
The couple were still living together in Edo’s London home when he started dating Beatrice, around the time of her sister Eugenie’s wedding in October 2018 - and friends say there was “a very awkward crossover of romances.”
With the Royal romance blooming, Dara moved out of the house, staying with a friend until she found her own London flat.
Although Beatrice’s sister Princess Eugenie opted for a televised lavish wedding, a friend has claimed that the couple are looking for a "low-key" venue to host their wedding.
According to the , Beatrice and Edoardo aren't looking to tie the knot at Windsor Castle - unlike sister, Princess Eugenie - who married Jack Brooksbank at St George's Chapel last October.
