Terrified parents share creepy things their kids say – the one about the ‘night night man’ will make your spine tingle

EVERY parent knows that kids can be brutally honest about many topics in life.

So it's understandable mums and dads around the UK have been left truly terrified by some of the things their kids have come out with - and they will make your spine tingle this Halloween.

Grown-ups were asked by children's television channel CBeebies to reveal the "creepiest thing your child has said to you", and thousands responded.

Chilling stories included youngsters talking about dead relatives they had never met, while other kids insisted they had seen people in the house that nobody else had knowledge of.

One mum revealed that her toddler had told her "that there was a man hanging from our washing line, and when we went to look she said 'It’s okay, he’s buried in the ground now' she was about two and a half'."

Another said her daughter, then two, stared into space and started talking about being in a car accident.

My daughter said that there was a man hanging from our washing line, and when we went to look she said 'It’s okay, he’s buried in the ground now' she was about two and a half'.

Mum

The little girl said: "Then a van came and gave me a bad headache and there was rain on my hands."

In the next moment she was back to being her usual happy self.

Her mum added: "I couldn't get her to say anything more about the van.

"She said a few other similarly creepy things around that age - actually had me wondering if past lives could be real."

Another mum recalled a horrifying encounter with a baby monitor.

She explained how she had heard a child crying on it, which turned into sobs, and then they started saying: "I want my daddy".

The woman continued: "Defo not my child! She was fast asleep! There were no other kids living near us so I don't know what it picked up!!! Really spooked me."

Me: 'Who's the night night man?' Her: 'The night night man lives in our kitchen'.

Mum

A fourth mum revealed: "We lost my little boy's great granddad over the summer.

"After the funeral (which he didn't attend) we were driving past the road entrance to the church and graveyard and he said 'mummy George is outside now, up there' whilst pointing up to where the church was."

And a fifth added: "My daughter aged about two while watching a programme on TV 'he looks like the night night man'.

"Me: 'Who's the night night man?' Her: 'The night night man lives in our kitchen'."
